St. Vincent Sunset Extra Gold Rum
A blend of rums that have aged from two to ten years.
Distilled from a molasses wash in a modern two-column still. The success of this blend is due in part to the unique aging conditions.
After distillation, the fresh rum is diluted to 54% alcohol by volume before it is allowed to mellow in once-used oak bourbon barrels for up to ten years.
St. Vincent Sunset Light Rum
An 80 proof version of the most popular rum from St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
Light and clean in taste, this white rum is blended with natural spring water from the mountains near the Soufferie volcano on the windward side of St. Vincent.

"I recently sampled St. Vincent Sunset Extra Gold Rum at the Caribbean Week Rum Fest 2000 in Barbados. I was impressed with the full flavor of this aged rum on the rocks and again mixed with ginger ale, when I was served St. Vincent Extra Gold Rum with fressh coconut water, the older mature flavor of this rum really came to life."
Since 1974, St. Vincent Distillers Ltd has been distilling Captain Bligh Rum to honor the famous captain with the imfamous reputation. Captain Bligh rum won a gold medal at the Caribbean Week Rum Taste Test held in Barbados in Feb. 2000.
West Indies Spirits LLC from South Jordan, Utah is the exclusive US importer of our Rum of the Month. Approval was recently received for import to the US.
Previously, this aged blend of mature rums was available only in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, but even there you'd have to look for it. Then a few years ago the distillery, which had been government-owned was sold to a private company.
